What we refer to here as cemented carbide brazed tips are not the carbide saw tips(teeth)welded onto circular saw blades steel body. Of course, we can also produce carbide saw tips(teeth)for circular saw blades.
The carbide brazed tips we are talking about are small carbide blocks, which are manufactured into various shapes. They are cutting tool inserts that consist of a small piece of carbide material securely bonded to a tool body or shank through a brazing process. Cemented Carbide is a high hardness and wear-resistant material, its hardness is significantly harder than high-speed steel (HSS), which makes these tips more resistant to wear and allows them to maintain sharp cutting edges for longer periods. The higher hardness also enables the tips to withstand higher cutting speeds and feeds, leading to increased productivity and improved machining efficiency.
Therefore, carbide brazed tips are well known for their excellent cutting performance and durability. They offer several advantages over traditional high-speed steel (HSS) tools: Much higher hardness and more better wear resistance, more faster cutting speed and much higher productivity,more wider range of application,more better surface finish.
After fusing the carbide brazed tips onto a steel body, it will form a strong and rigid tool. Which are widely used in various machining operations, including turning, milling, drilling, and boring.can be used to machine various materials such as steels, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composites. The versatility of carbide brazed tips makes them suitable for both general-purpose and specialized applications.
Composition And Structure
Carbide brazed tips consist of tungsten carbide or cemented carbide materials bonded to a steel tool body. The carbide provides hardness and wear resistance, while the tool body offers support. A brazing process fuses the carbide and tool body using a filler material. The geometry and coatings of the carbide tip can be customized for specific machining applications.
